FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Stunna Lip Paint

I absolutely LOVE this lipstick. If I could give it a grade it would be an A+. I was a little afraid at first because it is a really bright red but it looks amazing on my skin complexion and many others from the photos I have seen. It is long lasting and it feels amazing. It doesn’t feel dry or clunky or anything of that sort. I highly recommend it. I recommend the entire Fenty beauty line especially the Trophy Wife Highlighter. If you’re a highlighter lover, this is a must have! Check out the look I created below using this amazing lip paint. I also used the Jaclyn Hill Morhphe Palette to create this look!

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette

I bought the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette a few months ago and I used it once and threw it into my endless pile of palettes until today. I was recording a video for YouTube today and decided I wanted some nice fall colors and a red lipstick. I know that the Heat Palette is supposed to be a “Summer Nights” kind of palette but when I look at the colors, I see fall. When I used the palette for a second time today, I fell in love. I believe this is my favorite Urban Decay palette that I own (I have the Naked, Naked Smokey, and After Dark palettes) thus far and I see myself using it until it hits the pan! If I could give the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette a grade, I would give it an A+. The shadows are like silk and are very pigmented. It didn’t take much eyeshadow at all for this look and I did not have to mute my eyelids for the lighter colors which is good for the brown girls! Check out what I came up with below.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette Review

I love my ABH Modern Renaissance Palette so much that I was highly anticipating the release of the Subculture Palette. Here is my honest review. I like it but I don’t love it as much as I love Modern Ren. In my opinion, it is not as pigmented as the Modern Renaissance but it is as powdery (a lot of fall out) so go light with your brush. A lot of beauty gurus such as Makeup Shayla has given this palette a thumbs down so when I saw the reviews, I was a bit nervous but I won’t say it’s money wasted. I’m looking forward to see what looks I can create. If I had to give it a grade it would be a B-.

The Zulu Palette by Juvia’s Place

I recently purchased the Limited Edition Zulu Eyeshadow Palette by Juvia’s Place as well as the Magic Palette but I’ve only gotten around to trying the Zulu Palette so far. Between working on my Master’s Degree, being wife and mommy, and preparing for weight loss surgery, I don’t have much time for makeup these days, but I did pull out the Zulu palette for my birthday a couple of days ago and I absolutely LOVE it. The colors are highly pigmented and there wasn’t much fall out at all. My only complaint is that the dark pink color stained my eyelids. It took quite a bit of coconut oil to get it completely off, but other than that, it’s a great palette and I consider it a must have!

Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation

Dear Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation, where have you been all my life? I have tried foundation after foundation after foundation and I have finally found my perfect match! Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation is my perfect fit! This formula is light weight and has guaranteed full coverage. There isn’t even a need to color correct. That’s just how full the coverage is. It also comes in a variety of shades. Most foundations, I have to buy two and mix them together to get my perfect shade but Kat Von D had just the shade I needed. My grade on this foundation is A+. This foundation can be found for $35 from the Kat Von D website or Sephora. Here I am below wearing only Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation (Shade 74 Deep), lipstick, brow wiz, and mascara!

P.S. Excuse the stroller in the back! I am a full-time wife and mom, part-time blogger, and full-time MUE!

Smile! She is Watching

My two year old knows that my makeup is off limits but she always finds herself playing it when she thinks no one is watching. One day, without her knowing, I watched as she climbed up onto my vanity chair and began to apply the excess makeup left on my brushes. She knew exactly what brush went where and what to do with it. She even knew almost exactly where to put the eyelashes on her face. Right there in that moment, I realized that my baby is watching me and she will mimic every single thing that I do; therefore, it is important for me to be an example for her in every aspect of my life because the woman I am will guide the woman she becomes.

I will smile more, laugh more, sing more, praise more, read more, dance more, make healthier choices, and so much more because the woman I envision her to be is who I have to become. Smile mom, because she is watching. “Do as I say and not as I do” is a quote that is so untrue because they will do exactly as you do. Be an example. Be a leader because our children are our future. The change we want to see begins in us. Be great because they are watching.

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter

Before I share my thoughts on this highlighter, I would unfortunately like to say that I will not be purchasing anything directly from Too Faced ever again. I ordered the eyeshadow palette as well as new matte lipsticks from this collection on the day it came out and have yet to receive it two weeks later. It just shipped yesterday. I could have waited and ordered it from Ulta or Sephora and gotten it much faster, which is what I will be doing from now on; however, they did send me my highlighter, which was ordered a day after I ordered my other items because the rose gold was out of stock at that moment. Anywho I have received my rose gold love light prismatic highlighter and I like it. I have not worn it on my face but the swatch I made on my hand was pretty and it was silky and smooth. I look forward to wearing it! What I love the most about this highlight is the beautiful packaging! It is not my favorite but it won’t just be sitting in my stash collecting dust if you know what I mean.

Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade

I love ABH products especially their dipbrow Pomade, brow wiz, lip glosses, and modern renessiance eyeshadow palette, which I will be reviewing in the near future. I love this Pomade in the shade of ebony, which is a really deep dark brown. I like the dark brown shade as well.  If I had to give ABH’s dipbrow Pomade a grade, I would give it a B+ because it gets the job done of lining and filling in your brows, but you need to use a brow gel on top of it to lay your brows down and keep them in place unlike the Makeup Forever Aqua Brow. See how this Pomade worked for me below!
