Don’t Count Calories…Eat!

In the car with my mother today, we were having a conversation about diets, weight loss, and calories. She was telling me to avoid condiments during my diet like the barbeque sauce I was eating with my grilled chicken nuggets from Chick-Fil-A. Our conversation lead me to realize that most people are being deceived. Calorie counting does not lead to weight loss. For example, diet soda does not contain calories but research shows that diet soda drinkers gain more weight than people who do not drink soda at all because of the sugar they put in diet soda and other factors. My meal plan consists of the paleo diet and the paleo diet is high in fat and low in carbs, which is the type of diet my doctor recommended for me while breastfeeding. Good ole organic grown natural foods for me just how nature intended! I am not about to waste time counting calories, but I will however eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, nuts, meats and drink plenty of water. I’m sure Chick-Fil-A’s barbeque sauce contains lots of addicting sugar, so I will make the paleo friendly barbeque sauce that I found on pinterest today mom. 😘
